To get started with your CyberDeck, follow these simple steps:
1. Unbox and verify all parts arrived undamaged, our newer MK-III models have 3 major components, the K3 Keyboard, Mac or Windows logicboard in an enclosure, and the external battery.
-Booting your machine
1. Connect the Type-C Cables: connect one Type-C from the computer logic board to the Keyboard port labeled "Type-C" Note that the other port is labeled "PD" and only supports Power Delivery.
2. Powering On: To power the system on, connect the other Type-C cable from the Power Bank 65w port or a power source to the logic board or to the PD port on the keyboard(Mac units run best when power is connected to the logic board. You can use a power bank or a USB-C charger with a minimum output of 65W.
3. Booting Up: The MK-II, III will automatically boot upon connecting power. The keyboard and screen will light up a few times and can take up to 15 seconds to display video, and you may see a "No Signal" message—this is normal as the system boots.
4. Windows BIOS Settings (N/A on MK-III+): On or older Windows-powered units, you may need to change BIOS(F12-Delete) settings on first boot. We recommend adjusting the SATA Operation from RAID to AHCI in the BIOS settings. Click "OK" and save the settings upon exit. In some cases, these changes might not take effect the first time, so you may need to repeat the process.
5. GRUB Menu: If the SATA settings are correct, the system will boot to the RED GRUB menu. Here, you can select the OS you want to use, generally Kali, BlackArch, or Windows.
6. Mac CyberDeck MK-II and MK-III: If you purchased a Mac-powered CyberDeck, hold the ALT key before connecting power. The Mac will boot and display two drives: Mac or Macintosh HD and the EFI drive for Linux OS.
7. Kali OS: For Kali OS, you will find additional tools, documentation, IIAB, forums, and a Hackers AI assistant. For best results, indicate the OS you are using or the tool you want to use. For example, you can ask, "How to crack a Wi-Fi password on Kali."
All logins are OS defaults, ex. user Kali, pw: kali etc, for mac, user Mac, pw: apple. find more on the getting started guide page
